__What Remains explores memory as a fragile structure through which identity, intimacy, and belonging are formed, but also gradually undone. The sponge becomes a gesture of care, as if preserving something precious from breaking. From a rupture in the form, colored ceramic beads emerge, representing fragments of memory through which we recognize ourselves, our relationships, and our connection to the world. As memories fade, fracture, or disappear, the ties that connect us to ourselves and to others become fragile and uncertain.Through porcelain’s tension between strength and fragility, What Remains reflects on memory as a living material that shapes our sense of identity and belonging.
